Mike Hernandez and the Lonesome Dove Band play traditional country and honky-tonk out of Andrews, Texas. Born and raised in Andrews, Mike is a Texas and Nashville country recording artist whose sound is built for dance halls, rodeos and festivals. Since the band formed in 2012 he has played three consecutive years of CMA Music Fest, opened for major country artists and released two album projects, including the originals "Somebody's Everything" and "Battle Scars," a tribute written for Vietnam veterans and all who have served. Offstage he is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who served from 1994 to 2000, a former professional bull rider, a former firefighter and a veteran advocate. He is a two-time Josie Music Awards nominee and a two-time nominee for the International Singer-Songwriter Association awards.
