Marfa musician and radio host, born in Houston and a working Texas bandleader for years before moving to Marfa in 2007, where he turned an old funeral home into a music venue. He plays classic border music -- ranchera, conjunto and norteno -- in a long-running duo with Primo Carrasco, and also fronts the Beebe 3, an alt-lounge outfit. On Marfa Public Radio he hosts the late-night soul show Night Train Express. He has also served as a Presidio County commissioner.

David Lee comes from a very extensive Tejano Music background. David Lee’s father, E.P. Rodriquez, toured and recorded with many Tejano legends such as Little Joe, Johnny Hernandez, Carlos Miranda, El Charro Negro Bobby Butler, Sunny Ozuna, and countless others. At the age of 13, David Lee recorded bass for his Dad’s band which the recordings charted on Ben Gonzales’s Countdown USA and has been an active musician since. David Lee played with many area bands with his Dad and his brother till his dad formed the group, Algo Simple. The band performed/toured together for 14 years, releasing 2 cd’s before disbandment. David Lee then began performing bass with various bands throughout Texas, Tennessee and New Mexico. Then in 2018, Gilbert Velasquez reached out to David Lee and encouraged him to return back to the studio and work on a new cd. That cd would be David Lee’s Solo Debut entitled “Asi Me Enseñaron”, landing him a contract with VMB Music Group, and earning him a Latin Grammy nomination in 2019. David Lee released “Mi Vida” which debuted at #15 on the iTunes Latin charts and has spawned three #1 hits on many Tejano charts. David Lee released his 3rd album “III” in May 2026. Most Recently, David Lee was selected by a group of peers and invited to join the Recording Academy’s Class of 2025, a prestigious honor that only comes to a select few in the music industry. David Lee accepted the invitation. David Lee has recorded bass tracks for artists: The Latin Breed, Tortilla Factory, Joe Posada, David Marez, Adalberto, Rebecca Valadez, Aisha, Marcos Orozco, Patsy Torres, Tristan Ramos. Outside of working with Velasquez, David Lee has also recorded bass tracks for Jerry Lopez and Native American Actor/Blues Artist Gary Farmer. They keep to local and regional rooms -- Alpine bars and venues such as Amigo -- and carry their own PA and backline. The pair have worked under more than one name over the years, including Duo Santiago, and are billed at some local events simply as Steve Martinez and Raul Quinones.

Los Músicos are a band of seasoned, national touring talent. Each have been members of some of the top Chicano and Tejano recording bands, performing back to the early 1970s. Their national travels exposed them to radio and many genres. Their powerful music arsenal includes potent Chicano, seasoned Tejano, beat-tapping oldies, emotion-provoking R&B and Motown classics. Don’t be surprised is you hear some smooth jazz riffs. They can be sooo cool to the ear. These musicians have recorded with Chicano and Tejano greats like Little Joe y La Familia, Johnny Hernandez and The Third Coast, Jesse Serrata, Augustine “Guti” Ramirez, and many more. They continue to delight music-lovers across the nation and gain new fans.

Remijio 'Primo' Carrasco is a Marfa musician, historian and retired railroad worker, originally from Chihuahua. He plays the classic border music of the Chihuahuan desert -- polka-inflected conjunto, norteno, bolero and Tex-Mex exitos viejos -- in a long-running duo with David Beebe, and has backed Gary P. Nunn at Ballroom Marfa. On Marfa Public Radio he hosts the Spanish-language show 'Dos Horas Con Primo'.

Sandy Chapa-Guzman, known professionally as Sandy G, is a high-energy Tejano artist from Houston, Texas, whose powerful vocals and commanding stage presence continue to captivate audiences. She launched her career alongside the acclaimed band Los Gavilanes de la cumbia, a group recognized for its electrifying performances and strong presence in the Tejano music scene. Sandy G made her headlining debut at the Houston rodeo and built momentum with appearances at major events including Tejano Music Fest, San Antonio's TTMA Fan Fair, and multiple festivals across Texas. She has shared the stage with Tejano legends such as Jimmy Gonzalez , Emilio Navaira, Jay Perez, David Lee Garza, Ramón Ayala, and many more. Her debut album features the fan-favorite single "Mejor Sola Que Contigo," which continues to receive airplay throughout the United States and Mexico. With industry recognition including Tejano Music Award nominations and a growing catalog of original music written and produced by Sandi herself, Sandy G delivers an unforgettable live performance filled with passion, energy, and the authentic Teiano sound.
